I was wondering if anyone has used the ProComp 2 1/2" springs on their CJ's? I used to have a ProComp kit on an F-AMC 150 and loved it. Lots of wheel travel and it drove great on the highway. I have OME on my Liberty currently. However I'm thinking of going with ProComp on the CJ we just picked up. Anyone here used the ProComp springs before and if so whats your thoughts on them? Thanks in advance.

I had them for ten years from 95-05. They rode a little too stiff for me but they flexed really well. I tried 3 different shocks and the rs9000 were the best for those springs. I am not sure if they still make the same exact spring anymore or not. Overall they were fin but like i said they were more stiff than my black diamond springs.

I had the 4" set for many years, and agree that they are on the stiff side. A good point is that they did hold up quite well, and I also used the RS9000s. I have since gone to a softer BDS spring with the military wrap.

I have a barely used 2.5 Procomp lift for sale. I upgraded to 4". I thought the kit road soft. The shocks are adjustable and arrive in the soft setting. My jeep rode and steered very well with this lift kit. The 4"er, I'm trying to figure out why she is wandering all over the road.

That 4" kit turned you axle to the point that you have very little if any caster. You can check it with and angle gage and it should read 6 degrees towards the rear of the vehicle. If it does then get the appropriate shim to adjust it back.

Will that 2.5 pro comp only fit Dana 44 I am wanting a lift but I have an AMC20 in the rear.
Thanks

For the rear spring installation, the difference between the Dana 44 and model 20 is that the Dana 44 uses larger u-bolts and different pads to accept those bolts.

Ok thank you, that doesn't sound too bad. I will check in to it.
