I just purchased 2 1/2 jeeps... a drivable '84 in decent shape and then a pair of '85s that whould come together to make a nice jeep.

Kind of best of both worlds--have a daily driver and have a project to work on...

here's the craigslist add I fell for:

Two complete jeep CJ7 's and one full rolling chasis with complete drivetrain. Two 1984 jeeps and one 1985 plus tons of extra parts. 1984 is street legal emissions inspected 6" skyjacker suspension lift, new Holley carb, Starter, Soloniod tune up, Clutch all done in last 6 months all brand new have all receipts just no time to play anymore. the other jeeps are a 1985 has a bad clutch but runs and the rolling chassis with full front clip has a rebuilt AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l 6 cylinder and is set up with automatic transmissions these jeeps are oldies but goodies T-5 transmissions Dana 300 transfer cases. These are wide track jeeps bolt pattern is 5 on 5 .5" 31 x 10 x 15' wheels a ton of extra stuff hard tops , soft tops hard doors soft doors bikini tops.

He wasn't kidding about the 'extras'...got a hard-top, soft-top, bikini top, two sport seat w/new 5pt belts, extra roll bar, tire or two, couple rims... will be able to recoupe some of my purchase just by clearing out the parts...:)

wish me luck...

Some might call it that... my wife had a few other choice words for it, though... ;)

Bought all but a frame he had off-site for the best price I'd found for a single CJ... We'll see if I think it is such a good deal after I get it all sorted out.
