Hi, have a 89 jeep wrangler islander, yj, 6cyl, man Transmission , carb,ps, original pulse air system installed all stock, the rubber hose that comes off the exhaust pipe
that goes to the upstream check valve (metal valve that screws onto the metal pipe from the exhaust pipe) keeps blowing apart? any clues. thanks.

is the valve bad? I am totally guessing :wtf:

Thanks guys, exhaust seemed to be blowing out the rear but i will check
and or replace the cat, good call. had a camaro once plugged cat shout the engine down. I got the new check valves for a really good price so I am going to replace both, looks like original parts in it now. thanks.

one guy said to tap on the cat and if you hear a lot of rumble it most
likely collapsed inside, have a shop nearby good thought. thanks.

dslywalker: thanks again! good thought, know about that, try the hammer
loose :dung: first. have a good one.

Hey where did you find those Air control valves? I cant find them anywhere. My downstream Valve melted ay the bottom and im having all kinds of vacuum troubles so im trying to eliminate all those problems
