Just installed the Sam's steering bracket. Notice the steering box is actually rubbing my sway bar. Any thoughts?
Also, the box is pointed towards the center now. Do I need to remove pitman arm to reline-since steerings wheel center is way off.
Thanks for your input

Can you quantify "way off"? We don't know if you mean 90 degrees or one whole turn.

Have you tried adjusting your drag link?? thats the best wat to recenter your wheel.

Its probally half a turn out.
Drag link? How do I adjust that

Your drag link is the bar that goes from the pitman arm to the steering knuckle. Instead of looking at the pitman arm look at the other end. There is an adjustable tie rod end there. You will see exposed threads leading into the drag link. You can tighten the end link in or loosen it out depending on what you need.

I did see that. That was my first thought also. But I was advised otherwise.
I think that's where ill start. If the arm still needs a lil more adjustments after drag fix. What should I expect if I pull arm off...
Thanks for taking my questions guys. Much appreciated.

Any ideas on sway bar adjustments. I'm thinking 1/2 spacers were the sbar brackets meet the frame. That would possible drop the sbar down a lil. To prevent it from continuing to rub thb the steering box

First thing to expect is that it won't want to come off. Second you will find that the arm only goes on one way, so you just wasted a lot of time and energy for the learning curve. :D

Go with the drag link, it won't take more than 2 or 3 turns to change it 90 deg. make sure the clamps are tight when you are done.

Did you drill the hole for a bolt through the front frame deck to secure the top of the bracket? Is it possible to raise the gear box enough to clear the rod?.

I did use the extra mount. There's no room to raise it anymore. I'm gonna try drag link adjustment tomorrow morning. Would anyone have a step by step link. I could use
Again thanks for all the input guys.

loosen the clamps on the tube, turn it two revolutions and look at the steering wheel adjust accordingly. This does not upset the alignment on the front axle. All it does it change the position of the wheel to steering wheel.:D

make sure if you have a locking steering column the key in in and the wheel is unlocked so it can move. Like the guys say, find a flat place, pull it straight ahead as possible, let the st wheel rest where it may, loosen the clamp bolts (9/16 IIRC) spray some WD40 or similar in the slot in the sleeve where you see the rod end threads, use channel locks or a small pipe wrench and turn it say half a turn and then have a look at the steering wheel to see if its straight ahead. Get where your happy, and then tighten the sleeve bolts to I thing 35 ft lbs, but dont quote me on that one, and your good to go.

Any recommendations where could I get an alignment done. In Acworth area?
