I was looking through your gallery and saw something that caught my eye. It was a picture of your front end and coming off your steering gear was a bar that went in an upward angle. What is that and what's it for?

Not sure where Torx is, but that's the steering box brace your asking about.
It help keep the box from moving under stress.

I love that this question is for Torx but 80 of us have read it :D

We're reading and answering your mail while your gone Torx!

I'll take all the insight I can get. I'm new to the jeep world and trying to soak it all in.

I just got back from a Jeep trip in the Sierras, anyway, all I have is a brace from the steering box to the opposite framerail, there are a number of aftermarket outfits that make these, plus a little help from the Warn Winch Mount. I have also had the frame crossmember rewelded after it cracked with all that stuff on. There is quite a load on that crossmember where it mounts to the steering box and it needs all the help it can get, 35" tires don't help either. Additional help can come from the steering box mount made by M.O.R.E. The brace that I have is made by Currie Enterprises.
Oh yeah, they don't come with a bend in the tube, you have to put those in yourself.
