The Jeep was totally gone thru, 124k original miles on body,
New Crate engine and Trans, Weber Carb, Interior replaced back to stock, Dana 44 Rear, Dana 35 Front, 2.5 " Suspension Lift 1" body 33-12.50 Tires on Mickey Thompson Wheels, New Dupont Paint
I got a set of 16 in jeep tj rubicon wheels from an 04 model
Granted I know they have a different bolt pattern than a CJ7
but spidertrax and several other companies make kits for CJ7 's to run wheels for the newer jeeps
anyone know if i can run these on my CJ7 ,
there is a tire made in 16" not made in 15" I want to run, and having these sitting in the basement got me thinking

You need an adapter to go from the TJ 5x4.5 pattern to the CJ 5x5.5 pattern. They are a very common adapter and are available in a wide price range. Many recommend the type with a hub lip for the rim to ride on like Spidertrax or Alloy USA. Alloy USA Wheel Adaptor Pair, Red, 5 On 4.5 To 5 On 5.5 Bolt

The TJ Rubicon rims are 16x8 with a 5.5" backspacing which is typical of newer front wheel drive vehicles. The CJ's factory rims probably had less backspacing typical of older RWD vehicles. This should be a non-factor as far as clearance as most of those spacers are 1.25" wide and will move the tires out anyway.

How are these kits addressing the locking hub issue that the CJ has but not the TJ? That hole needs to be pretty big to fit that and some TJ rims are not even open in the middle.
