I NEED power breaks.

I need to a way to keep my hair out of my face while driving. Considering shaving my head.

I REALLY need to learn- anything is at risk of flying out with the doors off or top down :D

I bought a 10 ft box pop up camper (not a heavy one), that I am dying to pull with my jeep.......

I gotta start prioritizing my needs vs wants.

My My,

Take as many as you need.
Baseball cap turned backwards ( looks cool)
Cover it with a tarp in the back.
Put a hitch on and go , what are you waiting for? Send some camping pictures.
That's a problem we all have.

when pulling a trailer keep one thing in mind, Pulling is easy, its the stopping that can be exciting.

Power brakes are easy
keeping the hair out of the way, I use the pony tail method
anything that is not tied down in a Jeep is a potential missile and can kill, get a box in the rear of that jeep to put things in
get power brakes for pulling camper
prioritizing finished

The stopping...that's what I was worried about. Considering sometimes now it's a crapshoot if I make it to a stop before getting into the intersection at a red light. Hence the need for power brakes.

The ponytail method only works if your hair is mostly one length. But it does help considerably. Ballcap backwards...on a girl? Really?

I wasn't even thinking larger more dangerous items....I meant like loose money. I've lost a few dollars so far. That was a lesson learned.

Your cj's must be much larger than mine, cause there's NO room for storage. :D

Hey Baja-

"Owning a CJ is for manly men"

Does that make me a Girly Girl then? :p

I'm not sure that power brakes are going to help you much when it comes to stopping a trailer. I have burned a little rubber off my tires skidding past my driveway with all four locked up while pulling the car hauling trailer. You mite want to get good electric trailer brakes. My CJ5 weights 2850 Lbs. My snowmobile trailer weights 3500 Lbs. Its hard to stop it too with my jeep.:D

Another thing to keep in mind (even without a trailer) is that speed, handleing and braking expectations were a lot lower in the 70s - early 80s. Drive accordingly. Don't drive as fast or follow vehicles as close as you would with a modern vehicle. Maybe thats pretty obvious but it's easy to forget when you're used to driving a 2000-something model vehicle.

Cowboy hat!

definatly a Cowboy hat.

What's up with the NON glove box? And what is that silver box thing inside the non-glove compartment.

Is the 4wd dash circle supposed to light up or not?

Are the wiper arms adjustable so the wiper doesn't overlap the windshield?

my bad.:o

in regard to the glove box: The original was made of card board, believe it, and a lot of times don't survive for 30 something years.

plastic replacements are available on E bay with a little looking and $25+:D

Camper is 1450 lbs.

CowGIRL Hat- check.

quite often the 11" wiper blades have to be ordered.:D

The silver box thing is the computer
I have never seen that 4wd circle thing on a CJ dash
and yes the wiper arm is adjustable you just have to pop the arm off and put it back on so the hole blade is on the glass.

That's WITH the 11" ordered wipers . So there must be something off.

I think they must need to be adjusted or something.

BTW- the 4wd button - or I thought it was......once I got up close to look at it- it's just a button that someone glued on there that should have went into the shifter knob

thanks for the info on the glove box. I guess I'll leave that silver thing in there- even though it's taking up valuable space...:D

you may want to seek help re locating the wiper arm, it is very easy to break a nail pulling it off.:D Just saying.

I know it sounds like I am giving you a hard time but in truth, that arm can be a real PITA and I have bruised fingers, broken nails and scratched paint a number of times. Be careful.:D

I don't get my feathers ruffled that easy. ;)

Maybe I'll just let them overlap the windshield. I have much more important things to worry about right now anyway.....like my melted wiring under the hood. :D

Hair in the face has got to be priority #1; nothing is more annoying. Ponytail doesn't work even with long, one-length hair because there are always going to be the broken flyaways around your face...it helps though. If I open my rear sliders and side window at the same time I have NO problem with air turbulence. It's like a tornado whipping around if I leave the sliders closed. I also keep a bandana & a funky scarf on hand. If you're going for the day, try braids.
