ratchet shackles

got an 82 CJ7 4in military wrap springs not travel removed one spring from each pack. still stiff as a board thinking about ratcheting rear shackles to get some flex any thoughts?

If your talking about the revolver shackles, most will say they are a no-no.

Thanks, in the process of removing another all around and see what that does

I've had 2 out of mine and it allowed them to break in and soften up to the point of reinstalling them again.
