I just got my rear crossmember in today for my 7, it did not have one when i bought the jeep. how does it mount tho the frame. does it slide on the frame as far as it can then get welded or what? If anybody had a picture that would be great

Exactly. It's welded to the frame rails, nothing real special. Be sure to line up the holes where the rear-most shackle hanger bolt goes into the frame or you'll be doing it again ;)
There are also (7 I believe) bolts from the gas tank "skid" that go through the bottom edge of the crossmember. I believe they are 1/4". Not sure If your's is pre-drilled for these...

alright thanks, my shackle hanger looks like it was cut at one point, it only has two bolt holes is this right?

Yep. Two bolt holes. The hanger itself is raised at the rear mounting surface (between the two bolt holes) to allow the crossmember to fit inbetween it and the framrail.
