Redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee headed to New York Auto Show

Chrysler will give us an early look at its redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee at this week's New York Auto Show, despite the new SUV not going on sale until sometime next year. The news was confirmed to dealers last month, as well as in Chrysler’s viability plan that was submitted to Congress in February.We already know a great deal about the new SUV thanks to this official preview released by Chrysler. Coming in as a 2011 model, the redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee will ride on an advanced car-like unibody platform and feature the company’s upcoming Phoenix V6 or a HEMI V8 as engine options.

The unibody part doesnt scare me as much as the "carlike" reference. The Xjs were still pretty fun with the unibody. Their not all solid axles anymore anyway. They've been ruining the Grand for awhile now.
