Hello folks. I need to get to the cover. Looks like I have a crack in mine. How does one removed the Crankshaft Pulley? The pulley moves when I try to remove the nut. Is there a trick or a tool for this?

Thank you.

Easiest way is an impact gun otherwise you need to keep the engine from rolling over. Then you will need a pulley puller, you can rent them from places like autozone. Good luck!

Put the jeep in 1st or reverse, that should keep the motor from turning and let you loosen it. And as tinman said get a puller so you don't pull your balancer apart.

Thank you!
