Replacement Exhaust Manifold Set Screws

I'm replacing the exhaust manifold on my CJ5 (old one was cracked). The new manifold has allen head set screws on each port. The old one didn't have these so I just tightened them down. Does anyone know what these are for?

They're there for the smog , you don't need to worry about them.

air injection ports i think

Yep, for the air injection system. Just pulled mine off and plugged the holes. They're 1/4" pipe plugs.
