Hey guys!

I just moved to the beach, and i'm already noticing rust appearing everywhere. I've talked to people around here, and they've recommended spraying bed-liner or even oil on the undercarriage.

My CJ5 is still in pretty good shape, and i would like to keep it that way. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Josh

Hose it off every day. That sea fog is nasty. It tore up the aluminum on my Harley after a couple of weeks down along the Florida coast.

Boiled linseed oil is a decent rust preventative, cheap, spray it with a garden sprayer. Just don't do it on/over your new concrete driveway... :D

Thorough washings nearly everyday or...........move further west!

Seriously, in your location you're just going to have to deal with it constantly. A viable, but expensive option would be powder coating everything possible.

Rust proof it..krown works great if you can get it there..we have major problems with the salt here
