I never used Seafoam and getting close to 30 years with this jeep. I thought I would give it a try. The guy at NAPA said to fill the gas tank to the top and dump the whole can in the tank.

Do you guys agree or should I put some in other locations or use less and not the full can in the tank. If this stuff really works, then I could probably use a few more cans.

Thanks in advance!

Google fuel addatives. In my personal opinion I don't think any of these help. I do believe in stabil.

I use sea foam in every vehicle, I run a can through the tank and 1/3 of a can through the main vacuum line into the intake, after letting the truck sit for 10-15 mins it'll smoke out the neighborhood ( stops smoking in 5-10 mins) from getting rid of carbon buildup. Smooths the idle.

I use it as well but go in from the other end (intake).

You can spray/mist water into the carb while the engine is running about 2000 rpm to knock off carbon as well.

For my Cherokee I would let it get down to almost empry.. pour 2 cans into about a 1/8 of a tank and drive till empty then refuel.. I know thats about 4 times the recommended amount but it would definately smooth it out quite a bit.

I have used it in my crankcase and gas tank but seen no noticeable deference. I'm with 41mag, I don't think any of them really work that well. Even the BG stuff.

My father-n-law turned me on to seafoam. I put it in everything I own. Catch it on sale or check you local dollar store. I also have a ethanol free gas station down the road too!

I'm skeptical of these additives too, BUT I had a 83 GMC that had been sitting up for 3-4 years. The carb was rebuilt right before it was parked, and after tires, batt, plugs, water pump and starter it ran great once warned up, but wouldn't idle well

I poured a little seafoam down the carb throat 4-5 times (smokescreen). Idles smoothly whether warm or cold now, and runs like a top.

I probably won't fix a LOT of problems, but it's a cheap "try" that is easy.
