<div class="bbWrapper">OK. I have done some searching but nothing found to satisfy my question. <br /> <br /> have a cj7 <br /> both front seats folded forward to get into the back seat. and sit very high!!! with hard top on I can not sit straight in the passenger seat and was touching my head in the driver. plus it was a tight fit under the steering wheel to get into the jeep. <br /> <br /> one day out wheeling, Bimini top on, I broke the back of the driver seat (instant recliner). so out at the junk yard I found a 2003 Honda accord with like new leather seats in it. and a cj7 with the solid bracket instead of the folding one. did some modifying and driver seat is shortened 4&quot;s to give me a very pleasurable seating for me, the pilot. so I&#039;m sitting pretty. <br /> <br /> next is passenger side. can&#039;t make the matching accord seat to fit with the seat bracket soon high. and the wife wants it shorter so she won&#039;t hit her head on the top when wheeling. I&#039;m wandering if anyone has modded the passenger bracket to still be able to let passengers in the back seat. the accord seats do fold up but there is no room really to get a foot back there to get in.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">lol as a matter of fact one of the members here shortened the legs on the seat brackets to fit carabou seats <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f98/cj8-build-parts-18789/index5.html" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fforums%2Ff98%2Fcj8-build-parts-18789%2Findex5.html&amp;hash=857485a6fdd35dd7e5e38add2fcfed53" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f98/cj8-build-parts-18789/index5.html</a></div>

I seen that thread on the search and skimmed through. but just Skimmed over that I guess. so I know it can be done! just wasn&#039;t sure about it. didn&#039;t want to chop it up and try without having a 2nd to replace. confidence is key. haha</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I had to lower mine when I put in the mastercrafts but did not see the need to have the passenger side flip forward. <br /> <br /> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/011.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F011.jpg&amp;hash=c693d5ab66b7321d5e6e451c7ecff350" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/011_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/012.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F012.jpg&amp;hash=10303ce10dd99ae08a6954b04891b47e" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/012_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/013.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F013.jpg&amp;hash=19a805546469d28d0a59bdddb02cf743" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/013_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/010.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F010.jpg&amp;hash=6c6055e727d51d3d6d793c16d5a5457d" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/010_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/009.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F009.jpg&amp;hash=be022ff50cfa1fef36523811eb4882fa" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/009_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/008.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F008.jpg&amp;hash=ae01f46ef83eefb5063b9f73df7e2d9a" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/008_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/006.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2F006.jpg&amp;hash=4cea3f8de8e3e5a6296463d1fc1e5138" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/006_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/img_1081.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2Fimg_1081.jpg&amp;hash=b34d3fcefaa8b6c261ef6b05ec6e2561" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/img_1081_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> <a href="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/img_1080.jpg" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/community/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeep-cj.com%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F1%2F1%2F9%2F3%2Fimg_1080.jpg&amp;hash=48a92d3276ca80fe03cb1c7583864d8e" rel="nofollow ugc noopener"><img src="" data-url="http://www.jeep-cj.com/gallery/files/1/1/9/3/img_1080_thumb.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" width="" height="" /></a> Just as an interesting note, the mounting holes on the passenger side are the same as the drivers side, in relation to each other, but they are 3 inches closer to the center of the tub.<br /> <br /> So if you do use a solid mount like the drivers side the seat will be 3&quot; closer to the drivers side. This is a problem for me because there is not enough room for a 10&quot; console box between the seats.<img src="/community/smilies/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":D" title="Grin :D" data-shortname=":D" /></div>
