I'm finishing up a CJ5 and found these seats that I'd like to use. Thinner than stock - for my belly, wider than stock - for my butt and have back and side bolsters - I'm getting old. I'll make up new mounting brackets for them but as you can see they are cloth which isn't good in the mud. I'd like to buy some genuine imitation naugahyde covers for them but have no idea what they came out of. Any ideas??

for what a decent set of covers cost I would suggest you shoot your own Nauga, preferably a marine breed, and talk to a local trim shop about a recover.
you will be a lot happier for a lot longer.
I also suggest you make the mounts and see how comfortable they really are before getting too far into them.
Check out Sasquachs seat mounts, they are the best I have ever seen home made.

those do look comfy.

 IO you crack me up.

Great advice though, I agree.

Thanks IO, I'll checkout Sasquach's thread. As for the seats, when I bought the CJ they were ziptied to the original Jeep bases, yup "ziptied", but I drove it for a couple of months anyway and they are very comfortable and like I said being thinner and wider than the Jeep seats I love em. Thanks again

PS - it's not Nauga season for another month here in the UP and the marine species are strickly regulated, only two a year - it would take me a life time to get enough. I'll have to stick to the genuine "imitation" type.
