First post....decided to change out the front drum brakes and found a mess on the front end...Drums worn badly, bearings worn badly, ect.

Decided to change out to new everthing while I have it apart. What is the best way (technique) to remove the hub from the drum? What is the best way to install the old hub into a new drum?

Any help is appreciated...Thx

Dave

The drum is swaged to the hub.
You need to have the special cutter that slips down over the stud to cut the drum away.
Simply pressing the studs out can/will warp the hub.
For reassembly, install new studs that won't require swaging.
For example, wheel studs from 72 and later CJs will work; then you can simply remove the drum for brake work.

Thanks for the help - cut the studs with a die grinder - drilled them out and pressed them through without to much of an issue. Waiting for the new drums and should be on the road again.
