Would like some advise on what shocks you all like. I am working on the suspension of my cj and I have replaced my front shackle hangers, front shackle bushings, and front main eye bushings.
I started on the rear and found some rust issues on the very rear frame where the shackle hanger are. So I took it to a buddy of mines shop who is a welder fabricator and he is going to help me fix the rust issues and replace the rear crossmember before I put the new rear shackle hangers and bushings on.
So this morning we took out the gas tank got the rear bumper off and and with it up on Jack stands with the wheels off we noticed the rear end was hanging crooked. Seemed like the drivers side shock was holding it up more than the passenger side. So we pulled the shocks off. The are rancho rs 9000 but the are two different shocks the passenger side that is longer is a 9113 -c0451 the drivers side is a 9119-c2210. So I am wanting to order new shocks but would like your input on brand and size.
The jeep will be mostly a weekend driver so I would like something that helps it's on the street ride but I will also do some lite trail messing around. Also if it helps with the frame up on jack stands and the rear end hanging it is 20 3/4" center to center on the shock mount bolts. I am no tap posed to spending money just don't want to throw money away on something I don't need. Any input would be great. Thanks

Here is a Rancho Spec Sheet, hopefully you will be able to pick the length you need:
Rancho RS9000 Shock Specifications
The RS9000 series are pretty much a top of the line shock and the price should reflect that. I use them on my CJ and leave them at the softest setting.

Thanks for the link torx.....
Anyone else have any input on shocks?
What do you think of the rancho 7000 series shocks?

Are your RS9000's still functional? If so I would just replace the side that is shorter, with the longer version (assuming under full compression there is not bind) and be on my way. Hard to argue with adjustable shocks.

The shocks are junk... They are shot. I took the fronts off and low and behold a po must of crossed them up I had the same mis matched combo on the front only opposite. I talked to rancho tech and they said I need the 113 on front and rear. So I ordered a new set. Thanks for the imput.
