What are the torque values for front and rear, upper & lower shocks on a '78 CJ7 ? My thought is snug and a bit of snugger, but I've been questioning my opinion because of all the technicals that I've been researching. High end TWO HUNDRED FIFTY FOOT POUNDS?!! The shock I've chosen is the Rancho 9000 series. Rancho notes refer to manufacturer. I'm thinking that even 45 is kinda high relative to the poly bushing and over tightening/compressing it too much? I mean, these poly bushing as with all bushings need some movement. Calling on Experience for safe install. Left and right fronts ready to torque. Towel wrapped hitch.... Yeah,... ya'll figured this one out, and so did my head bone after the second contact removing the old fuel tank.
