Picked up this one for more than its worth whole...My Bride has been wanting a builder CJ7 for quite a while, and they are pretty much priced like they are made of Gold out here. So she has her project truck now.
Current plans are:
yank whats left of the body
clean up frame (still in decent shape from what I could see...)
install the 300/NP435/205 drivetrain out of the '78 F-AMC 150 we just picked up.
2 1/2 lift to fit 33" tires
replace the body
get it street legal and safe
wheel it.

As all plans go, this will be a painfully inadequate list of work to be done.
And she plans on doing most of it by herself, with just assistance from me. We'll see how long that lasts...

Any and all Donations of parts accepted :chug:

Are you going to have to change your screen name? LOL

So, no mud truck? Now a CJ7 build? I like that much better!

BTW - Love the add on for the trailer - How well does the hoist work? I never thought of adding that to our trailer...

I still want another mud truck, but She wants this more for now...

The hoist is one of the better mods I've done to this thing. I can pick up about 700 lbs with it and load it over the side. With the 8K loading winch that was in the box until last Jan., it made a real good combo for scrapping vehicles. Cost about $100 for the boom at one of those traveling truckload tool sales, and fabbed up the mount in a few hours.
This is one of the good loads I've had on here...A complete '68 F-650 I scrapped, and kept the box for a storage shed.

And about changing my screen name, Won't happen. The CJ7 is HERS...the CJ5 is now ALL mine.
She might end up signing up on here herself, but then I can't talk mean about her....

She has decided on a name for it, It will be called PuddleJumper, with a frog theme, no less

cj then you have to put mylittlecjs supreme master under her name. lol

OH man, Not That!!!! Oh the humility...!!!

I need to know...

Is it just me or does everyone else start singing when they see this thread?

not yet. been 12 hours on the road today. I will try to contact him after I talk to my boss and see if he will let me throw it on the truck or not. There might not be enough room to even do that...

 So, it worked then? :D

Your gonna be the official Craigslist cruiser huh? :D

I like to know what's sellin close to me, so I don't pay high dollar for anything. I fully understand the meaning of the saying "strike while the irons hot" I look every day....Last week, someone was dumping a nearly perfect Wrangler with new rubber for $800. The engine was shot. I had a buddy on it instantly.
