size of leaf spring on a 1976 CJ-5

Im kinda new to this whole thing, ive had my jeep for 3 yrs. i have a 1975 CJ5 . i am lookin to put a 4" lift kit in it, with leaving it spring under. i am finding some nice lift kits for the 1976 CJ5 jeeps, so my question is does any one know what the size and measurements are for the 1976 CJ5 jeep? the springs are 1 3/4" on my 1975 CJ5 . will the 1976 CJ5 pro comp lift kits work for my 1975 CJ5 ?? i would be able to change out the perches and shackles to accomadate the springs if there 2" but much more than that I dont ahve the timed for rite now. so if any one has any info or insight that would be great. thanx

Check out putting YJs on. They are wider. I love them

4" for 75s are real rough riding - high spring rate. My old Trail Masters had a spring rate of 550#/in. Stock is around 230#/inch. You have to make them rough riding so they won't tip over.

Broke the frame at 3 different spring perches.

so r u sayin the yj springs are 4" wide?? or go with a 4" wide spring??
