So I am off and running...

My 79 CJ7 is now pretty torn down...
I have run into a snag, and I have looked and looked to no avail...
So I am crying out... HELP! :)

I have run into a couple of snags that I am hoping you guys can help me with.
Some background...
My 79 CJ came with a Vanco hydroboost. (This is loosely phrased. It came in a box. I had to install it.)
It also came with what appears to be a later CJ power steering rig.

I am installing both as you need power steering pump for the brake boost, and I figure, hey why not put in the steering as well. (Got a MORE bracket for the steering mechanism.)

So some pictures for you upfront...

I had this bracketry and pump. (I borrowed these pics from another member here on the site.)

But I also have a smog pump. (Yes, I know... Upgrade to Howell TBI, etc... That is in the cards, but not until later.)

Here is an example of it in stock location. Just bottom right of the fan.

Here is where it needs to be...

So help me here...
(...and keep in mind, here are my current limitations...)
- I do not want to change to a TBI just yet.
- I live in California, so I can't remove the smog pump.

1) I have all the bracketry to mount the power steering pump but my 79 comes with a smog pump as well. I have no clue what bracket I need to mount it up high like in the second picture.
Specifically, I am looking for knowledge about where or how to look, or maybe another way of thinking this through.
(i.e. Hey Chris... go to the junkyard and find a Pacer, and pull it, or just fab a bracket up, here are the two things you need to know...)

2) Now that I have added the Vanco hydroboost, I realize that my airbox is now in the way. I have seen others that sit over on the valve cover, but I do not know where to look. (In fact, I think I have the lower part for just such an airbox, but not the top.)

So here is what I have...

...and here is what I think I need...

You are in a predicament I was in before throwing in the towel and going MPI. Yes the air guard(smog pump) moves up to a higher spot on PS equiped CJ's So now you either make the brakets or find original correct brackets(good Luck). What I did before the MPI was leave the smog pump alone and fabbed some brackets to mount the PS pump on the pass side below the alt. Do either of those or make yourself really happy and junk out your smog pump, carb, vaccum hoses and do the fuel injection. I know it;s a bunch of $ but if you plan on keeping your CJ it will be the best thing you ever did to it. You can have my fabbed PS pump brackets if you want to go that way temp. till you do it right with the FI.

So how did I solve this ultimately?
Simple.
I ordered the Howell TBI kit.
Problem solved.
