:)All of them............that bracket is in two or three pieces , bolted to the frame and the top of that plate.

:D:D:D:D

Appreciate it..... I now see how there is multiple pieces to it.

Looks like 5 bolts on the outer frame driver side. 2 on the top by the radiator. Pull those and the pitman arm.

Then once you have the box off it looks like there are two 12 point bolt heads in the bracket to the box to remove. It does not look like the 12 point bolt heads are easily accessible without dropping it.

:)Your steering bracket looks like they held up pretty good.........most get beat up and cracked when they get loose. Make sure you use good bolts again with a locking nut. There is an alternative to those in an aftermarket bracket that's much better than the OEM one.........I think M.O.R.E. sells them.

1. Undo top three bolts.

2. Twist heads off of bottom two bolts going into frame

3. Cuss, throw wrench

4. Go find wrench, look around to see if your kids saw or heard tantrum.

5. Pound on pitman arm because you were to stupid to pull it off BEFORE you unbolted the steering box.

6. Cuss, bust knuckles, cuss some more.

7. Drink a beer, think about buying a Toyota.

8. Get pitman arm off, realize you also neglected to undo steering shaft.

9 Repeat items 6 and 7

10 have welder cut hole in frame, install bolts with threads coming out of bottom of frame, weld side of frame back up

11 Install new AGR steering box

12 Realize that 90% of the slop in your steering was NOT from your steering box (worn steering shaft and lift shackles)

13 Cuss, cry, throw entire tool box, swear you're buying a Toyota, go get bottle of Whiskey.

But after you get it all back together, you'll get the feeling that the AGR box is as smooth as hot butter! I've got the same slop in steering shaft, and worn-out tierod ends besides, but I can still feel a big improvement in turning ease and return to center.

keep in mind that two of those frame bolts also hold the front shackle eye on the frame.:D

3,4,6,7 and 13 are within reason... Hey it's my garage and my rules.

So I also need to support throw some stands under the front axle, right?

And this my friends was the interesting part of the disassembly. Crowbar used to bend it out of the way just enough to somehow get the impact on it. Then had to use a simple box wrench to take out the last bolt.

If anyone is curious a 1 5/16 was needed to take off the pitman arm nut. So of course I needed an autozone run to get it and a 1/2-3/4 adaptor. Pitman arm came off without a fight with a HF $9.99 puller and an impact.

No cracks that I can see.
