Some input on these wheels please.

I used to have those exact wheels in Chrome on my 74 CJ5 . 15x8
Worked fine for me. They took a beating.

Tread width minus 2" . Helps protect the rim, bead and sidewall

I'm working on this same question. I was going to use 33x15x12.50 tires and can't decide between a 10 or an 8 inch rim.

As stated above, I can see the logic using an 8 inch wheel. Even though it is a 12.50 tire the tread width is 10 inches so probably the 8 inch wheel is better?

I run a 37x12.5x16.5 tire on a 8.25 x16.5 rim . Not my idea, am generals.

I run 33x12.5 tires on 10" wide wheels, when I ran them on the trails I ran 8lb's in them with no problems.
