I am restoring a 80 CJ7 and need to pick find a few misc. pieces that aren't available repro.
Anyone have recommendations for someone specializing in CJs in my area?
Been watching evil bay and don't feel like scouring boneyards.
Right now I'm looking specifically for the sway bar to frame attaching brackets. The cast steel ones that the bushing strap bolts to.

Try Craigslist. I got my CJ7 and a set of Bestop TrailMax Pro seats using that site. I think you can put a "wanted" post on there as well.

Are there any big Jeep only swap meets similar to the all Ford ones they have in Columbus?

Is that like Bobs Jeep parts or something similar? I've heard a few Jeep guys mention the name but it didn't occur to me that I might need something from him down the road. Do you have contact info for the place?

its oj jeep parts. the guys name is bob. he has new and use parts and can get anything you need. i think i lost his card. hes old school. no website, makes change from his wallet, and has no computer. he is only open 3 days a week and only for about 5 hours a day. you can google it to get his address. thats how i found it.

I called OJ jeep and talked to Bob today.
He does not have any of the brackets because he lost alot of stuff in the 07 flood. 38" of water in his building and he had to throw out stuff.
He said that he plans on hanging it up in another year and is selling his inventory off.
i might have to hit the junk yards.
