Special Star socket?

1979 CJ5 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l

There are 2 bolts that hold the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold next to where the carb mounts, they have 12 points each, look like star, but apparently are not? does anybody know what type of socket fits these?

Not OEM.

Internal or external 12point?
External-a 12 point socket will work easily.

It's an external 12 point star.

Most SAE sockets come in either 6 or 12 point, sounds like you have 6 point sockets. A trip to HF will solve the problem.
