Who wants to answer this one ? When start cold after sitting all night, why does it spit large puddle of water out tailpipe...after initial spray its done spraying...but next morning it does it again. So wheres the water coming from and hows it keep getting in there each time. Condensation ? cracked water jacket leaking into exhaust side ? Yall preach :D

Most likely just condensation. I wouldn't worry unless you're loosing water out of the rad.
My jeep and truck but spit water when it's cold out, till they warm up.

I'm guessing condensation from suddenly heating all that c-o-l-d metal, maybe exacerbated by the 10% ethanol in your gasoline.

Ok makes sense. I'll go with that.

:agree: but it sounds like you have much bigger problems.

Water vapor is normally in exhaust. On a cold winter day the exhaust looks like smoke. It doesn't pollute more but the water vapor is visible as steam when it comes out into the cold air. When you turn off your car the water vapor condenses in the exhaust system. This liquid water will then sputter and spit out the tailpipe next time you start up the engine.
Contrails from jets are the same water vapor from the exhaust. It's always cold at 40,000 feet.
Also catalitic converters make more water vapor by converting the hydrocarbons to water vapor. Even cars without a catalytic converter produce water vapor, just not as much.
Check out this link:
The Exhaust System
Catalytic converter: This muffler like part converts harmful carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons to water vapor and carbon dioxide.

Dang bo....that's an answer...case closed...nice article
