springs over axles

How many of you have done this? How much lift does it give you? Is it safe?

It will give you app. 6" of lift with the stock springs. It's safe if done right,
It's not cheap though as the only way to do it right is to go with a high
steer set up.

My Jeep is sprung over with YJ lift springs and 38.5" Swampers, I have no trouble diving my Jeep down the highway at 70 MPH.

If done right I feel it's great upgrade for a CJ. More ground clearance, more room for bigger tires etc.

I do however recommend adding some form of traction control though, as you will get more axle wrap with a spring over. Good luck and be safe.

My 74 CJ5 has soa done by the PO and I don't care for it.
If i keep this rig I'm going to change it back.
