I started my 1983 CJ7 without pushing the clutch in. The car turned over and lunged forward and stalled. Now nothing electrical works at all. Car won't turn over, lights don't work, turning key doesn't engage the dash instruments or radio. Its not the battery, i jumpered it to my other car and still no power to anything. Any ideas what happened / how I can fix it. Seems like it would be something simple... Just don't know much about how it all works. Thanks.

I think it's a bad connection on the battery. Remove and clean the battery cables. You can use a battery terminal cleaner like one of these:

Wiggle the battery cable where it attaches to the starter solenoid and see if it is loose.

This did the trick - it was the battery connection. Problem solved. Thank you!
