Hello all,

Figured I would share what I did today.

This is my setup on the starter solenoid. (It is currently missing the white wire due to a terminal breaking.) I was troubleshooting my battery not charging and this picture was made in the process. Figured I would share the picture with all of you. :chug:

Nice pic.. IfI recall correctly the post you have marked for the while wire should actually go directly to the coil. It helps give the coil a full 12volts for start up. The white wire should go into your fuse block where it eventually ends up at your volt gauge. Its the excite wire for your altrernator telling it to turn on.

I have the white wire going to the terminal I have shown. It is indeed the excite wire, when the ignition switch it put to the start position, it gives it the signal to charge. The red wire jumps from the spade connector to the back of the alternator.

So hows that working for you?

Working superb. I only had to go thru one DOA solenoid from Advance (heavy duty my foot). Now its charging just great. So much cleaner then stock and or whatever the PO had setup.
