Recently replaced turn signal switch in my 79 unfortunately parts house kept trying to sell me a switch with wipers and hi-beams. My switch has blinkers and hazard only finally found right switch it came from 74 chevy pickup. Now I need to replace lower bearings and boot on column possibly even thinking of entire column can anyone help me to identify this.

GM columns were used starting in 76 and are a common swap for 72-75s. :D

Check out Flaming River columns. Good stuff.

Why would you need to replace the whole column? Also the blinker switch actually doesn't have the high beam or wipers built in. Those are both sub systems built into the columns.
steering column parts for ford, gm, dodge, chrysler, jeep, plymouth | Steering Column Services

Here's a place that sells replacement gm parts.. They are a little pricey, I normally use the diagrams and pics to find the exact name and go from there.

Let me know what's wrong with yours and maybe I can help you with a problem.. Ive been through a hand full of these columns.. I have one sitting on my bench at the moment
