Hello all, I currently have my steering column disassembled. I took it out several months ago, boxed it up etc so that I could clean/paint/replace parts a bit later on. Well, it's now later on. Needing to replace the lower bearing and turn signal switch, ignition switch during re-assembly. Is there a good video or dialogue that goes literally part by part for re-assembly? I simply don't remember where everything goes. I know, I know, I should have video'd it or something. My bad. But does a video already exist for re-assembling a CJ steering column? I've seen a few fair at best vids online, but nothing that really goes step by step. Thanks so much for your time.

Try looking at the factory service manual, M.R. 252, there is an online version available, or you might find one somewhere.

Whew, $70 for that manual. No doubt it would work. Kinda hoping for a video or step by step to follow along with. thx Torx

Thanks so much....I'll take a look very soon. Although my column is not tilt, I'm sure I can get the jist of what needs to happen to get this back together.!!! Again, much obliged.

$70.00 for a MR-252 is cheap. ;)
Money well spent too.

It's basically a GM steering column. Do a Google search on "GM Steering Column Rebuild" and you'll find some U-Tube videos and other articles on it.
