Steering Shaft issue

I hope someone can help me with this issue. I bought a steering colunm off of a Chevy truck (year unknow) without the shaft. The end of the col. at the firewall just has a female Double D hole. where and how can I get a shaft to go from the firewall to the stock manual gear box. I was hoping I could use the stock shaft I have and just cut and weld a new end for the steering col. Has any ever since this kind tail pcs. at the end of a steering col. or am I missing a part.

Go to Borgeson.com...........they build all the steering parts you'll need to connect that up.............stay away from welding on any steering unless you are accomplished at that trade.
