I have a 1974 CJ5 . I am having trouble finding the steering U joints that fit the yokes on the jeep.I am quite sure they are stock. The U joints I've found are all
too big even though it seems to be the right part number.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

steering U joint? You mean the front axle u-joints? Not the steering shaft joints.
I have a '79 CJ5 with a Dana 30 front axle and I just replaced my U-joint yesterday. I didn't realize it was bad until I took my front end apart. I was able to get a replacement locally on a Sunday at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I can't find my receipt or part number.

I believe I mistyped in the original thread by accidently typing plurally. I am looking for the stearing shaft U-joint. It is located between the steering column and the shaft to the gear box. Thank you so much for the help.
