Ok, i have a 78 CJ7 , Am going to try the pro comp 2.5" lift, was just wondering if any steering issues will arise from such a minimal amount of lift. Also, does any one have any feedback on the on the procomp 2.5" lift itself, can't find any reviews on this kit itself for a cj?

Robert
Pro comp makes a decent lift
I use BDS or Skyjacker myself
But hey, opinions are like A#$H)(*S
2.5 usually does not affect the steering much, however if you are having some steering issues it will compound them
before doing the lift we have an article one of our members wrote

it is a great read

and, would you fill out your profile fields about your jeep please, it helps when you ask questions that we know what we are dealing with.

i have a 2.5" procomp lift and i have no complaints. just make sure your brake lines are long enough.

Thanks, how is the ride and all with that? Will pay attention to the break line length for sure.
And Baja, this thing drives amazingly great i think, a lot better than the stock 86 i had many years ago.

ride is good. you will never get a cj to ride total smooth though.

I don't expect a smooth ride, but maybe just a hair better LOL. How does it perform off road? I'm not expecting this amazing transformation to happen by just adding a little lift, but hoping there will be significant difference over stock:) i'm only running 31s for now.

you in ohio?

I backed my 67 off to 31s this year, I bought it with 33s and 4 inches of lift, but then it had 2.5 springs and lift shackles, I ditched the lift shackles for stock length.
I think that Cjs look best this way, real balanced and seem to run better also.
I have never had issues with pitman arms this way either.
