So I’m starting to pull apart my column to tighten the bolts to make my steering wheel jiggle. I searched and found YouTube videos and all I see is Chevy. Anybody have a good detailed link.

Go with the Chevy video. Jeep columns are Saginaw/GM.

I have a 40 or so page PDF of a column teardown but don't have the link handy. Found it from a forum member. Jazzy- something.

Google jazzman gm tilt column.

Well worth the read. I found that on my '77 CJ5 the upper column bearing installs from the bottom not the top. I've had mine apart and back together several times until I got it right. IMHO if you are going to take it apart, might as well change upper and lower bearings as well as the turn signal and ignition switch. I also have quite a few pictures of mine as I took it apart. Might come in handy if you get stuck. Just let me know and I will post them.

I would love if you posted it. Any info helps. And do the bearings have a specific name so I can get them?

I tried to upload the Jazzman rebuild PDF but it's too big. PM me your email address and I can send you the pdf if you want. Or Google it

I ordered mine from Morris 4X4. They are Crown bearings and fit my column really well. You might find them locally. My auto parts store had the turn signal and ignition switch on the shelf. The hardest thing I came across on my rebuild was getting my key cylinder out. The Jazzman PDF shows how to get it out but I had to grind a slotted screwdriver to make a tool that would work.

I live fairly locally to Morris 4x4. About a half an hour away. As for the turn signal switch, ignition switch and ignition cylinder. I have all new ones on my bench to be installed.
