finally got another cj, an 82 cj5, 3" lift, 32" Buckshots,,new bestop and seats &carpet..304 w/overbore,headers, alum intake and holley with a 270 cam
I noticed since the new steering box and alignment on the CJ5 on acceleration it pulls to the right especially from a 1-2 shift..this a result from a frame problem such as flex or cracks? normal acceleration the jeep drives well up to 45 mph

Mine did this a little bit, Check the bolts for your shackle hangers and your spring u-bolts. A few of mine were lose and once i tightened them the pulling went away

Frame cracks are always possible on a CJ, especially with a lift and oversize tires. at any of the spring hangars where they are welded to the frame, on the frame just ahead of the front spring hangar, at the crossmembers, and body mounts to list a few. A steering box brace and/or an aftermarket steering box mount like what M.O.R.E. makes is good to have in place. The front oem spring shackle hangar is usually first to break at the rivet clearance hole and should be replaced with an aftermarket version.
