I want to know if the stock rims are 15x8 1976 to 1982? and 83 to 86 15x7?

Pretty sure that's mostly correct. Narrow tracks had 15x8's and Wide tracks had 15x7's.

I "believe" the 15x7's had holes drilled for chrome centers, regardless of whether or not the vehicle came with them.

Yeah, my '86 came with the 15"x7" wagon wheels.

Correct. The years are actually going to be more like '76-''81 and '82-'86. '82 was the first year of the wide track. In true AMC fashion there were a few '82s with narrow tracks but '82 was the changeover year.

My '85 came with white 15X7 'wagon' wheels.
Also had Armstrong Tru-Trac tires.
