T5 hard to find part

- 1983 cj-7 renegade, 258 ci motor, t5 tranny, Dana 300 t/fer case.
I am resealing my T-5 to take care of leaks. I need a retainer clip or circlip, not sure which, that goes on a bolt that appears to hold the reverse shifter. It also holds a bracket that has a spring that attaches to the housing. The bolt is one of those that threads into the housing on the left side above the reverse light switch. I have looked at the parts diagrams and don't see any of these parts. Can someone tell me what it is and where I can find one? I am tempted to use a small washer and a c clip but don't want any problems.
