Hey Everyone,
I'm finishing up my rebuild on my jeep and one of the last issues im having is hooking up the tail lights. I bought OEM replacement tail lights and they have 3 wires running from them going into a plug (Red, White, Green). The EZ painless (pain in the ***) kit that I purchased however has 4 wires on it (Black, White, White/black and green/black). this is my first electrical job on a car and I just cant figure out what goes to what. I spoke with the EZ Painless techs and they were just rude and impatient with me. After I did some research on this I found that some ppl were running the black wire (from EZ harness) to one of the bolts on the inside of the light that connects to the tub. The rest of the wires I could guess and hope they all work but I don't really want to guess. Let me know if a picture will help and I will upload it when I get home from work.

With D.C. circuits. Solid black is your primary ground(GND).

You could start with using a test light or multimeter to find out just what wire does what and hook it up accordingly.

Red = turn/stop

Green = Parking

White = Backup

Black = ground

Best I can tell from their instructions (Painless):

Black = ground

White = Parking

White/black = backup

Green or green/black = stop/turn
