the spare tire dilema, going to put 15x10 wheels with 35s on cj, now, do most feel the need for the spare wheel to be a 15x10? or do you stay with like a 15x8 with same tire so it doesnt stand out so far? just curious as to likes n dislikes of the rear view. Thanks

this is a good question. Most of the time I would wish for a 15x7 with a small street tire for a spare. who needs the weight? and a tire cover makes it not look so out of place. BUT, off road, if you don't match pretty close you could end up not being able to use a locker.

for your situation I would go with the 8" rim. My spare never seems to hit the ground except for a blow out and then just until the tire is repaired/replaced.

mine's more off road than on, so I prefer that the spare be the same as the other 4.

This is the first time Im going to be running a 35 as a spare. Id say as long as you have the tire carrier to hold it Id keep them the same. The 33s Ive run block a portion of the rear window. Ive found myself using the side view mirrors more than the rear view.

We need to see pics of both of the Cjs in your profile. That little description is a tease.

I would definately recommend keeping the same diameter.. So if you want to run a 35x10 on a 8" rim.
