This is crazy!

Its been a while, but I seem to remember someone making a kit for those at one time. Looks like a fun little toy!

"WTF" is right...
I can see a completely stock and original in good condition Willys appraised at $11,200....but not a "kit-mobile" :wtf:

Since when did a "factory assembled" Jeep come with all VW running gear.

Is this misleading or a compleate lie. He doesn't say it's a kit. He says it's a 1951 Willys CJ3.

After looking behind the tailgate I'm dying to see what's under the hood!

I asked and he says it's a Veep.

I also asked what factory, Jeep or VW and if 4WD or not and here is responce..

Neither, it was built by Veep which was in business for 3 years. 79 thru 81. As I was told and understand it, they were sued by Jeep over using their grill design and the cost of the law suit put them out of business in 1981. Also as I was told they actually won the law suit because the grill was actually designed by the military but the cost of defending the suit was their downfall. Anyone knowing a different story I would be glad to share it. The Veep has VW running gear and is a two wheel drive but will go just about anywhere a 4WD will go

Wow, don't see him getting anywhere near that price and would love to see that thing "go anywhere" a stock CJ can go, much less a slightly modified one.

Don't count it out remember there's still a baja beetle under that body.
I've personally gone places a jeep wouldn't in one.

Man, that's neat. I love seeing stuff like this. I'd buy one if I had the money and room. It's an interesting vehicle. I love the way the VW goes thru snow so I know this would be fun. I'd rather have one of these than the Manco dune buggies.
