what is the benefits of doing this and what do you need to do it.

It gets them a few inches higher so you don't hit & bend them as easily.

With a 4" lift you can use your stock pitman arm.

You need to either ream a new taper and use inserts, or drill out the taper and weld a new insert in.

Somewhere here there's a thread with links to a couple sites that sell them.:D

Here is a picture of Old Dog's flip from that post.

Old Dog, the section I circled is from your steering box, but where does it connect to?

thanks guys. im working on trying to get the front back to being half way straight cause it is way off. when i went to adjust the toe i notice my pass side tierod needs to come out alittle more. i knocked them loose and i cant get them all the way out to adjust it. as soon as they dropped they land on the springs and the springs are in the way so i cant get them all the way out to adjust. so i thought a tierod flip would help cure this if i ever need to do it again.

It's a steering box brace, it connects to the box and the frame.

LOL, I forgot that advantage.
Just jack the jeep up by the front bumper and it will come out.

ya i looked at it and was like if they where on top i wouldnt have this problem lol.

i jacked it up by the bumper and it dont look like it got anymore clearance.

IIRC you have to have both ends off so it will pivit out.

i jacked it up on the center of the bumper with my highlift jack. it looked like the suspension didnt even move. i know i dont have my leafspring and shackle bolts to tight. when i got the lift the leafspring bushings where already in. do you think i need to take them back off and grease them some how? its like the suspension barely moves. i saw no movement in the shackles.
