tilt front cap with winch?

Is it possible? I was just sitting here thinking about it. Does the winch keep the cap from being tilted enough to make the mod not worth the time?

If you click the pic of the green jeep it looks like it wouldnt open much if it had a winch. Looks like it would really limit tilt. http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f7/tilt-front-end-3701/

No they won't tilt forward with a winch. You have to open them up like a regular hood.

rr41mag, I used to run around with a fellow who had a glass front on a '74 CJ that did have a full front tilt so it can be done. It was setup with long aluminum hinges that had a rotation point just behind the front bumper, this allowed it to clear the low profile Ramsey winch. I'm sorry that I don't have any pics that show any detail, but he was an experienced machinist by trade and built it himself.
