tilt steering for cj5?

I saw on a thread on a site, (and I can't remember where it was) that someone had pulled a tilt steering column from a Cherokee, I believe, to use in a CJ5 . Being somewhat "rotund" and having a heck of a time getting into the drivers seat, I've decided that this is a mod that I need to do. Soooo, can anyone give advice on which Cherokee I should look for, what pieces I will need, and any mods that might have to be done? I appreciate any relies.

I think it was a 92, look for something with no airbag and a floor shift with no cruise control. The one I used happened to have the key still in it, kind of unusual in a PYP yard but it was during the cash for clunkers program.

Mine came from a 79' Firebird.

It is just a GM column. but if you take it out of a Cherokee it says Jeep on the wheel. I will say that putting it in a 64 is a good trick, well done.

Don't forget they also came in the87-95 jeeps. You can move the high beams to the column. Or leav em plugged into the floor.. Your choice.
