All my rides? Well I have quite a few work trucks so I will leave them off. But I own a 79 cj5.
Hey all question: I want to add tilt steering column to my 79' CJ5 . What are my options? Is there a bolt up one that will match right up or is this a little more sticky than that? I like challenges. Happy trails all.

i think i read that IO replaced his with a column out of a 97 cherokee that was tilt

It was a walk in the park! A lot less money than flaming river and the wheel says Jeep. not to mention the turn signals return works and it moved the high beams up off the floor and put the wipers on the column. At very most I don't see the job costing more than $200 turn key.(Pun intended):D

Yea a Flaming River column costs! And then you need to buy the mounting brackets top and bottom (if you don't want to build your own) and the steering shaft has to be replaced to match your column and box up.

You can use a early Chevys manual Transmission column (like say, a '69 Camaro or truck maybe?) but they will need little modifications to make them work right also.

Just curious... did you get the new column installed?

I have a 79 CJ7 with an auto tranny.

Went to the salvage yard and picked up a tilt column out of a wagoneer. Everything is identical to the old set up.... I think I paid $50 or $75 for it...Its been a few years.

good luck
