Torque

Does anyone happen to have or know the amount you would torque a Black Diamond lift? PO had one installed on my 79 CJ7 , I want to make sure everything is tight. Thank you for any and all help.

My superlift kit said to torque them to 86 ft.lbs.
superlift makes black diamond by the way.

that will have a lot to do with the size and grade bolt in question.

i torque the out of em, never put a torque wrench on em. probably not the right thing to do but i haven't had any problems yet.

I do, if you tighten them to much you can strech them beyound their stress level and they will break.

Every time. And I never reuse them. They don't break often but when they do it's really bad.

Yea you have been lucky.
I like to give safe advice though, so I say torque them to the right amount. I'd hate to think I killed someone by giving them bad advice.

this is true, i just never thought much about it.
