I recently purchased a set of yj 1.5" lift superflit leaf springs for my 82 CJ8 . Today when I started cleaning up the leaf springs, I came across a part number of JYJ34F which corresponds to trailmaster springs with a 3" lift (I think). I really do not know anything about trailmaster and was hoping someone could share a little light on their quality and reputation. Also, with the 3" lift, correct me if I am wrong but to run this lift I would now need to drop the pitman arm and extend the brake lines (which is why I wanted the smaller lift). Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Wow, that is a name I have not heard of in a long time. I remember when Rancho and Trailmaster were the springs to get. For how they work on your CJ8 , I would first put them on and see the drop on the drag link and whether or not a longer brake line is needed. When I installed Rancho 2 1/2" springs on my '86 the drop pitman arm and extended brake lines were not required.

Thanks for the info. I can always put them on and see what happens. I just hope the ride quality is an improvement from stock and that I do not have to worry about the pitman arm.
