I have a Dana 20 and it goes into 4hi ,2hi and neutral and stays.4lo it will at times jump out of if you let off the gas.Doesnt seem to shift in as far as it should.Tried adjusting but then it grinds going to 4hi.Is there a proper way to get this adjusted?
My motor mounts are all new and tight.

Just out of curiosity are you using a single lever? The reason I ask is mine was hitting the floor sheet metal when the body and frame flexed. That would pop it out of low range some of the time.

In line with what Purple said, do you have a T case drop? Same issue will occur with the lever running out of travel into the cutout or the boot being to stressed .

I do have a drop .I will look at the clearance .Thanks
