Hey Guys! Quick question. The coolant hose (Pic 👇) going from the water pump to the intake manifold runs higher than the top of the radiator. Should I be concerned about trapped air in the hose? I'm not experiencing overheating, with operating temp 180-195 degrees. Is there some way I can check for air in the hose, without getting anti-freeze everywhere? Thanks!

If it's running fine leave it alone. But it should be much shorter

Thanks bud! I was suspecting that it could be a problem. With the hot weather, I'd rather be safer then sorry, and cut a couple inches off the hose.

If you're going to cut the hose, clamp the hose on the other end And that one closer to the thermostat housing and you will hardly lose any coolant

This is about the height your looking for and fyi that front hose bib should be like a 45⁰

They do make a hose for that. Where my finger is, is where I have released air from the system by just loosening the clamp a little and tug the hose a little and air has escaped a couple of times I have done something with the radiator. IMG_4119.webpIMG_4118.webp
